Evaluation of Yolk sac tumor in a pediatric patient with F-18 FDG PET/CT
Abstract
Yolk sac tumors (YST) are malignant germ cell tumors that secrete alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). These tumors commonly occur in infants, young children, and young women and often arise from the gonads. We describe the management of YST and follow-up F-18 FDG PET/CT findings in a girl.
